What came first, The Chicken or The Egg? xD

Help me settle this age old debate once and for all

Seriously, if you think you know what came first (chicken or the egg) please state your reasons here and we can debate it till the cows come home. xD

I believe that the Egg came first as, it started out as a Dinosaur egg, but became deformed in the process and when it hatched... was the first chicken

Ha, Keep this up and this'll become the Evolution debate.

Anyway, yeah that's what I think too... Apart from the Dinosaur bit. I doubt there was a sudden jump in the evolutionary chain from dinosaurs to chickens...

I think lawyer came before the modern day brick.

I think the lawyer joke was from a cartoon. Someone had a gun that made stuff devolve and shot some guy. And he devolved through loads of weird stages (Like a brick) and one of the last ones they said was...

"Oh no... OH NO.... HE'S TURNING IN TO.... A LAWYER!!!!"

obviously something resembling a chicken (but not quite a chicken yet) so it laid an egg and the egg hatched and lo and behold it had evolved through the magic of genetics into a chicken so yes the egg came first!
